As the Beatles said, All you need is love, love, Love is all you need Immortalizing the famous words of this song, love is really all you need to get married in Las Vegas.

Its no surprise then, that Las Vegas is considered the wedding capital of the world, with over 122,000 marriage licenses being issued every year! They call it Getting married without a hitch- Las Vegas style.

Getting married is an experience in itself, but getting married in Las Vegas, takes the whole experience into another dimension. The official government agency that issues marriage licenses in Las Vegas, the Clark County Marriage License Bureau, is open everyday, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to midnight. Hows that for service! Its no wonder they manage to issue so many licenses a year.

Forget boring Wedding on the Beach and other mundane wedding themes. In Las Vegas nobody would raise an eyebrow if you exchanged vows dressed as Star Trek characters or in Medieval costumes. Even the chapels get into the theme act in Las Vegas. Not only do they help you with your wedding vows and religious ceremonies, but they will also suggest a variety of ceremony themes and also help you choose your costumes and organize the dcor. Most chapels even have costumes that you can rent. Professional, experienced staff is on hand to help you with the most simple to the most outr requests. Wedding chapels also offer bridal couples a variety of custom-designed packages to suit every budget and every style.

Plenty of costume shops and florists dot the area as well as shops that sell or rent tuxedos, gowns and any other accessory you can think of. Dont forget the rings! Its probably a better idea to pass on the idea of hiring wedding rings and buy them instead. Youd definitely want something more than photographs to commemorate this unforgettable experience.

For those looking to beat the record of Quickest Wedding Ceremony, Las Vegas even offers you a choice of drive-thru weddings. A word of caution here dont stop for the fries if you are aiming for the record.

So if you are looking for a unique one-of-a-kind wedding, make plans to go to Las Vegas, where all it takes is love, valid identification and 55 to get married.

Getting Married in Vegas? Find Out More About Their Marriage License Rules First

Dont get scared, their marriage license rules are pretty standard; they are no different from the rules existing elsewhere for people to get marriage licenses. On the other hand, these rules are not the kind of rules that get bent every now and again. You absolutely need to have all of the necessary documentation that is required in order to be granted a marriage license. Before you get ready to head to Vegas to get married, make sure that you take all of the documentation with you. Photocopies and faxed documents are not accepted, so if you arrive in Vegas without the documentation, you wont be able to quickly procure it through a phone call home.

The most important things that you need are proper identification and your Social Security number; without these two things, you will not be able to get a marriage license in Vegas (or anywhere else for that matter). The bureau has to be able to verify your identity and your age, and must be able to find you through your social security number as well. In addition to these standard documents, you must be of the proper age and not be married to anyone else. The age rules in Vegas are that consenting adults of 18 years and over may marry on their own word. Children 16 and older can be granted a marriage license if they have a parent who consents to them being married. Either a parent must come to the bureau with you in person or must have signed an affidavit marked by a notary.

For children who are under the age of 16, two types of approval must be granted before a marriage certificate will be issued, the first is that a parent must approve the marriage license and a court must also approve that the person in question will be in a good situation being married. Nowadays, such documentation and ruling from the court is quite difficult to obtain. All such documents must be in English.

Foreign nationals, who do not have a social security number will have to take special steps to be able to obtain a marriage license. This is because of the rule that a social security number is required for all people requesting a marriage license. If you do not have a social security number, youll have to contact the bureau to find out how you can procure a marriage license. Marriage licenses can only be granted with proper documentation and cannot be damaged ids or photocopies of documentation.

In addition to these standard documents, nobody who is already married is able to obtain a marriage license without proof that either the person is no longer living or proof that the divorce from that person is finalized. Unfortunately, its true that without the proper documentation, a license will not be issued.

All of these items are necessary for getting a valid marriage license. Those who do not live in Nevada might consider marrying at home if they are concerned about having access to their marriage certificate once the marriage is completed. If your mind is set on getting married in Vegas, and Nevada is not home to you, you should look into the many options that are available for obtaining copies of the marriage certificate. This can be done by mail or done in person, and like most official documents in the States, is not overly expensive to obtain. Just make sure that you have the procedures straight before you get on the airplane because going back for documents can get pretty expensive!

For The Value Conscious Las Vegas Traveler, The Medieval Excalibur Hotel & Casino Offers Everything Under One Castle

The Excalibur Hotel & Casino opened in 1990 with 4,008 rooms and was one of the original themed resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. The medieval theme can not be denied with the white castle jetting up into the sky surround by the two room towers on either side, Camelot roaming the resort and a live medieval dinner show. And don’t let the fact that Excalibur is nearly 20 years old concern you, the resort has recently undergone an extensive renovation.

Conveniently located at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue, you will find yourself next door to the Luxor, and across the street from New York-New York Hotel & Casino, the Tropicana and MGM Grand. And visiting Mandalay Bay or the Luxor couldn’t be any easier. You can either take the monorail that connects the three hotels or you can beat the heat and walk from one hotel to the other without ever stepping outdoors.

Room rates are certainly a value at Excalibur. Depending on what time of year you visit Las Vegas and what events are taking place in the city you can get rooms for as little as 70 per night. You will pay at least three times that amount at some of the newer resorts on the Strip. In addition, a number of their rooms have been refurbished to include pillow top mattresses and widescreen televisions. Of course, these rooms will have a slighter higher nightly rate than the standard rooms, but they can still be considered a good value.

Although most resorts in Las Vegas no longer cater to families, as most resorts did back in the early 1990′s, Excalibur still welcomes vacationing families. The entire family will enjoy the Tournament of Kings dinner Show. Jousting, fireworks, horses, dancing and singing, what more could one ask for? Maybe eating dinner with your fingers? Other attractions include the newly-renovated pool area and the Fantasy Faire midway where you and the kids can test your skills at arcade and carnival style games.

The casino isn’t for the kids but it does cover over 100,000 square feet. The Excalibur casino floor features hundreds of the latest slot machines with denominations from .01 to 100, for those of you who like to think of yourself as high rollers. You can also spend time wagering on your favorite sports teams or the horse races in the full-service Race and Sports Book. And if poker is your game you won’t be disappointed by the Poker Room.

In the dining category, Excalibur offers something for every taste. Try the RoundTable Buffet or the 24-hour Sherwood Forest Cafe. A recent addition is Dick’s Las Resort, very casual and very fun, the menu includes Macho Nachos, Ridem Cowboy Rib Eye and a Case O King Crabs. For a dining experience that is more high-end you can tempt yourself at Sir Galahad’s, a pub and prime-rib house, or The Steakhouse at Camelot.

Coming to Las Vegas to get married? How about getting married as the king and queen of Camelot? The Canterbury Wedding Chapel has period costumes based on the Renaissance period. If you prefer something a little more on the traditional side you should explore the many wedding packages that are available.

The best values at Excalibur start with the room rates. But those values also extend to all the other amenities the resort offers. And the best part? Being located on the south Strip allows you to step out from under the castle and explore the five other resorts that are literally located next door. Plan your Las Vegas vacation at Excalibur and live like a king or a queen for a few days!

Anyone that knows me knows that I’m a huge fan of freebies and living frugally. What self respecting Vegas visitor would ever pay full price if they didn’t have to or leave this great city of chance without getting something for nothing. One of the best services I can provide my fellow man is the ability to share these fabulous free finds with anyone that is interested in what I have to offer.

This is better than a ‘tell all’ book on who did it and why isn’t it? The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers a delight to the eyes of the beholder. It is a true delight to all the senses to see the sights and inhale the fragrance of these gardens that display seasonal highlights in plants, flowers, and produce. Each season offers new delights to the senses and there is no admission fee to view these beautiful floral arrangements. This is a great place for a photo op to help you remember your time in Las Vegas.

Have you ever seen water dance? If not, then while you’re visiting the Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio, you’ll want to stick around long enough to witness the fountains of Bellagio. These shows consist of more than 1000 fountains that are literally dancing in choreographed unison with light to the music (you may be surprised or quite possibly impressed by the extent and variety of the music play list for this particular show). This is also free to witness and occurs every half hour or so after 3:00 PM throughout the week and after noon on the weekends.

If you’re looking for more great fun that is free for the entire family to enjoy, head on over to Circus Circus for Circus Acts-this show is free to watch and provides the audience with the thrills and chills of the big top day after day. You can watch different acts as they perform throughout the day at the half hour mark between the hours of 11 AM and Midnight.

Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall offers a stunning display of water and laser lights daily at 2:00, 6:00, 8:00, and 10:00. This show is called “Sunset Stampede” and takes place in a 9-story atrium that hosts a natural habitat of live trees, greenery, waterfalls, and trails.

Another great free attraction in Vegas is the Masquerade Show in the Sky. The show is free to watch, if you choose to participate by riding one of the floats, the cost is $12.95 (that is subject to change). This experience is very reminiscent of Carnivale in Brazil. The floats are literally suspended from the ceiling for the sake of this show which is considered one of the best free shows that Vegas has to offer.

Perhaps one of the most interesting freebies is the Silverton Hotel and Casino’s Aquarium. This attraction is completely free to the public and a fascinating thrill to children big and small (even mom’s find this one fascinating). Enjoy watching both salt water and freshwater fish in their natural habitats and enjoy the ambiance of your surroundings.

The Sirens of Ti is a great sexy pirates tale that shows at Treasure Island TI daily as the weather allows. This is one great show that the kids, especially little boys that think pirates are the bomb and big boys that enjoy watching ships sink and sirens do what sirens do, will all agree to enjoy together.

Free entertainment is often the best entertainment that can be found. There are so many things to do and see that cost literal fortunes. It is nice to know that there are so many thrilling adventures available for little or no cost to explore while visiting Las Vegas. If you spend wisely, you will discover that you can enjoy the better part of most days filled with activity without breaking your wallet or becoming close personal friends with any creditors.
