Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps, offers you non-stop entertainment 24 hours a day.

Gambling, a round-the-clock activity is a must-do while you are in Las Vegas. There are no opening or closing timings for the many casinos that jostle for space along the Las Vegas strip. In fact, there are no clocks anywhere in sight and with an endless variety of exciting casino games you may be tempted to spend all your time in Las Vegas, casino-hopping. Which is a great thing to do if you are on a winning spree. If not, you may want to consider leaving behind the bright interior neon lights and stepping out into the brilliant Las Vegas sunshine, where there are lots more things to see and do.

Want to experience what weightlessness feels like? A specially designed Boeing 727 at Las Vegas Space Flights recreates the effects of a real space flight including lunar gravity by flying smaller parabolas. You can even experience what it feels like to walk upon the surface of Mars.

Looking for excitement that is more exciting than gambling and weightless walking? Strap on a parachute and experience the thrill of Las Vegas sky diving. While free-falling from 10,000 feet above ground, enjoy a birds eye view of the city you left behind a few minutes ago.

The Imperial Palace Auto Collections, home to the worlds largest collection of classic, antique, special-interest and muscle cars, is a car enthusiasts heaven. Spend the day admiring these classic cars, and if you were lucky enough to have won that jackpot, maybe you could even afford to buy one!

Dont forget to witness the eruption of the Volcano at the Mirage Hotel or take a look at the largest golden nugget in the world, which is housed at the aptly named, Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel. A Las Vegas vacation for many people is an experience to enjoy 24/7 food, drink, and gambling. In fact that is the very reason that many people visit Vegas and it is also one of the main reasons that the city of Las Vegas and the gambling empires that have been built, crumbled, and been rebuilt again and again have had many of the rocky rides that offer more bumps, dips, twists, and turns than you will find on many of the roller coasters that also inhabit this great city.

Las Vegas has so much more than that to offer its visitors. Gone are the days when gambling was the sole income of casinos or that casinos were the only businesses in town. Vegas is dressing up a bit in recent years and working oh so slowly and diligently towards changing its image.

This city of bright lights and empty promises is quickly becoming a city that offers world-class entertainment and excitement to its residents and its visitors. Las Vegas has some of the best dining on the planet. Many of the wonderful dining experiences are associated with the casinos of the area but they would not be as successful as they are if there was not a reason to keep the tables full. Diners don’t tend to dine if the food isn’t good and a for a restaurant a bad review will travel around the world three times before ten good reviews will make it once. This means that the world-class fine dining restaurants really must earn their stripes in order to bring in the business required in order to stay in business.

I personally tend to look for the dining bargains and that is what this particular article will focus on. There many great places to eat in Vegas that will not have you busting open your piggy bank. Now my guy is a steak and potato kind of man so I always try to look for a good steak bargain. For him, I love Arizona Charlie’s Boulder Sourdough Caf. Here you can get a 14-ounce Porterhouse for $7.99 this includes soup or salad, choice of potato or rice (5 pm-11 pm), veggies, and rolls. You can also get spaghetti and meatballs for $6.49 and Chicken Penne Primavera or fried chicken for $6.99. This is good food at its best at a price that easy on the budget.

This is just one of the many places a person or family can get a relatively good meal inexpensively. Not all great bargains involve steaks but there are many great food bargains to have. Be aware of coupons you may find around town offering two for one food purchases or dollars off of entree purchases. It may not seem like much or two but if you can manage to save $2 per two people for 10 meals during your stay, that adds up pretty quickly to $40 that could buy a little time on the slot machines or tickets to one of the many great shows.

Cheap dining by no means indicates a lack of quality. While it may not be as sophisticated as some offerings, you might find that a lot of the cheaper places to eat actually have far superior flavor to many of the more expensive dining experiences and it’s just nice to get away from buffet food once in a while during your Vegas stay. You can only endure so many buffets before they all begin looking, and tasting just alike.

Not too many years ago, using the word ‘dining’ in relation to Las Vegas would have elicited laughter from any gourmet. True, you could get a steak for 2, but it was barely edible. The ‘all-you-can-eat’ buffets for a few pounds were no better. The cheap food was there, as everyone knew, simply to draw in the crowds, who would then spend money gambling.

There are now almost as many fine restaurants in Las Vegas as there are in New York or Paris. And ‘fine’ in this case is an understatement. Having long ago attracted some of the world’s most notable chefs, Las Vegas has become a true restaurateur’s town. Whether you want some good but simple fare at Planet Hollywood, or won’t eat anything less than Emeril’s finest creations, you’ll find something here to satisfy.

Bouchon at the Venetian is a popular attraction for Vegas food lovers. Moderately priced, the food is outstanding in this French bistro setting. With a full bar and private rooms, you can have the kind of atmosphere you want to go along with the fine meal. For truly 4-star French, though, you’ll want to visit Le Cirque in Las Vegas. An import from New York, it has all the outstanding features of that metropolitan delight. The lobster is, as they say, to die for even if your diet allows for no more than a few bits in a salad. The already excellent heirloom tomato soup can be livened up with morel mushrooms to give a distinctive dish. An intimate setting fleshed out in a circus-themed decor, the atmosphere is hushed, making it the perfect spot for dinner for two. Be sure to dress well, though. Las Vegas casual doesn’t cut it in this up-scale establishment.

For the finest seafood in town, Commander’s Palace inside the Planet Hollywood Resort is the place to go. Known by its New Orleans roots, of course you can find many cajun and creole offerings. But the atmosphere is fine, too. The cream and black decor accented with gold makes it a visual treat to go with the gustatory. Items are pricey but worth every penny. The tasso shrimp henican appetizer, for example, could be a meal all its own. For the truly daring, there’s turtle soup. For a main course try the pork loin with cayenne catsup and be ready to pig out. Don’t forget to try some of the bread pudding dessert, even if you have to split it to make room after the huge meal.

For a great steak try The Tillerman, a Las Vegas specialty for more than 25 years. The fish is equally good, but the menu has enough choices to satisfy the whole family. For the adults, the wine list is superb, offering vintages from California, Spain and even Argentina and South Africa. These last two offer delightful variations on familiar themes. For another American delight, try Planet Hollywood. Located inside Caesars Palace the now-iconic establishment offers everything from burgers to gourmet pizza to a range of sandwiches. On the lively side, calling the interior ‘decor’ would do it a disservice. Name it a ‘setting’ instead. Unique. And don’t leave without sampling a Ghirardelli chocolate brownie – a specialty of the house.

For that final meal of the trip you may want to save an evening or at least a lunch to go to Wolfgang Puck’s Bar & Grill inside the MGM Grand. Redefining fast food to be something truly special, you’ll enjoy the energetic California-style setting. Go for the Maine crab cakes whenever you can. Whatever your taste in food, Las Vegas now has more than you can enjoy in a single visit. Better plan to come back often.
